Home For Butterflies provides residential care for individuals who need supported living services, with a focus on independence, choice, and dignity. Our care approach is personalized to meet each individual’s changing needs, routines, and goals. Individuals are actively involved in the interview, selection, and evaluation of their home care providers so their preferences and comfort remain a priority.

Our home care providers offer a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment tailored to each individual’s needs. Assigned management staff conduct monthly home visits to ensure individuals and providers continue to receive the appropriate level of support while promoting the highest level of independence possible.

Individuals are carefully matched with a caring and experienced individual, couple, or family where they become part of the household and receive support in a family-style setting. We work closely with individuals and families to create a positive and rewarding experience that encourages personal growth, community involvement, and long-term stability. Finding the right match is an important part of building a comfortable and supportive home where everyone can succeed.

Our program aims to support individuals in living independently within their community while fostering and maintaining meaningful relationships. Individuals are encouraged and guided to make safe and healthy life choices and to build strong connections with peers, family, and friends.

Each individual benefits from a personalized day program designed to support their individual goals and facilitate successful community integration. The ratio of clients to support staff is customized based on the level of assistance each individual requires.

Daily schedules are structured around the individual’s preferred activities and are reviewed with them each day. Support staff provide positive verbal reinforcement and cues to help individuals transition smoothly between activities.

Our staff will receive training in crisis prevention and intervention, including both general and individualized support strategies. For medical and behavioral emergencies, we will maintain updated medical records and ensure staff are trained in crisis response plans, first aid, and CPR. First aid supplies will remain fully stocked and easily accessible.

Clear procedures will guide staff during medical emergencies, including communication with healthcare providers and emergency personnel when needed. For individuals with behavioral challenges, individualized behavior support plans will be developed and followed consistently.

Staff will also be trained in de-escalation techniques and non-violent crisis intervention. Any behavioral concerns or incidents will be documented and addressed promptly through a proactive reporting and response process.
